Home Haven is a community dedicated to helping Christian homeschooling moms live intentionally and create homes that thrive. It is a space to feel rejuvenated and be supported. Home Haven aims to create a place to connect and be equipped in your home schooling journey. It offers Moms Night Out, Mom School, coaching from veteran homeschool moms, a GroupMe text thread, intentional book discussions, and more.

This order is important. Too often, distractions and worldly values flip this order and derail us. Spending time in God’s word and with other Godly women who are striving to build strong families with Godly identities is always a good idea.
Being Intentional & Living Out Your Values
“More is caught than taught.”
Lead by example in every area of your life:
If you want your child to love the Lord, live it out—pray, study, and prioritize time in God’s Word.
If you want your child to build strong character, model these traits yourself.
If you want your child to be responsible or organized, show them through your own actions.

Home Haven’s Babysitting Co-Op is a free points based barter system to support moms with babysitting needs.
How it works: You earn points for watching other mamas kiddos, and use your points when others watch your kids. Win-Win-Win! No cost, free time, and kids get to play with friends! Please email homehavencollective@gmail.com for access.

Coffee and Connect Coaching Sessions
Van’s greatest joy is helping others move forward by gaining traction around a topic, decision or issue.
How it works: we have an objective intentional conversation where I ask you clarifying questions that help to help you move forward.
As a trained and certified Life Coach, all conversations are confidential.

Mom’s Night Out
Six times a year, we come together for great food, laughter, deep fellowship, relaxation and time to recharge.
Optional: Mom School! An hour of learning prior to dinner.

Challenges:
Periodic challenges provide a way to connect, be inspired and create accountability around topics designed to help moms and their homes thrive.
Intentional Book Discussions:
1 book per month and we gather to discuss, apply and grow.

BBQ / Pot Luck
Dads BBQ: A gathering for Home Haven husbands to connect with other dads and veteran home schooling dads.
Couples Pot-Luck: Home Haven couples to come together and enjoy good food and good company.
Mom School
A dedicated 1-hour teaching session prior to Moms Night Out, designed to encourage reflection and growth. New Topic Monthly. Sometimes includes (very) light homework or fun challenge. *This format may change in the coming months to be a stand alone event quarterly or be replaced by Intentional Book Club.
Van’s Inspiration
Home Haven was created with the purpose of empowering and equipping homeschooling moms to thrive. As a veteran homeschool mom, Van’s mission is to mentor and support moms so that homeschooling is a lifestyle and not a stress. Having been there, Van has the understanding that while it is a privilege to homeschool, it can also be a lot. Van’s mission is to help Moms be intentional in their lives, living by design rather than by default.
